Fair Usage Policy

Fair Usage Policy

WEBHOST.NET.PK provides packages with limited or unlimited resources such as members, emails, and other features. The use of WEBHOST.NET.PK’s products and services is governed by a Fair Usage Policy outlined below. This policy applies to the fair use of bandwidth and resources on shared hosting plans where "Unmetered/Unlimited" data transfer, members, emails, or storage capacity is indicated.

For plans featuring unlimited members or emails, we do not impose official limitations. Customers are free to utilize these features as needed, though it's important to note that these resources are not limitless and are subject to inherent maximums based on the underlying technology.

Storage

***Unlimited Space is Limited to 50GB per account, not e-mailbox

The following activities are not permitted:

1. Using the account primarily for massive file storage unrelated to website elements.
2. Using the account for backup storage.
3. Storing large quantities of file archives (e.g., zip, rar, gzip, 7z), video files, audio files, documents, log files, etc.
4. Hosting resource-intensive web portals under shared hosting (consider upgrading to a dedicated server plan).
5. Operating mass newsletter subscription-based services (consider a Dedicated server plan).
6. Providing FTP or File Sharing services.
7. Sharing your account with a third party without consent.
8. Hosting illegal, copyrighted, or pirated content.

Abusive Scripts/Processes

Any script, process, etc., that adversely affects other customers' ability to use their services is prohibited. This includes CPU-intensive scripts and processes that exceed the acceptable limits of a shared/reseller hosting environment. Such scripts/processes are only accepted in our Dedicated Hosting environment.

Email Fair Usage & Anti-Spam Policy

At WEBHOST.NET.PK, our aim is to assist organizations in growing their active membership through successful campaigns. We employ high-quality services with built-in tools for spam testing, bounce management, unsubscribe management, email verification, etc. In return, we expect users to use these tools responsibly and avoid spamming.

By using WEBHOST.NET.PK, you agree to abide by this Usage Policy. Failure to comply with the rules outlined below may result in account suspension.

Spam Complaints

We take spam complaints seriously as they impact our IP reputation and server integrity. Repetitive spam complaints may lead to immediate account suspension. Ideally, complaint rates should remain below 0.1%, with rates exceeding 0.5% risking a sending pause and/or complete ban.

***The E-mail rate limit is 150 per hour (Per Domain). Spam is not tolerated at all and users caught spamming are being suspended immediately without further or prior notice.

Disk Space & Bandwidth

For packages supporting unlimited users or emails, no defined limitations exist. Basic resources are "unmetered," but customers must comply with our fair usage policy to ensure a smooth experience for all users. If your account exceeds normal usage, you will receive a notification advising you to reduce usage or consider a dedicated server plan.

This Fair Usage Policy is subject to periodic updates. The latest version can be found at https://www.webhost.net.pk/index.php?rp=/knowledgebase/11/Fair-Usage-Policy.html
